REENTRY SERVICES

REENTRY COACHING & SUPPORT

As part of the Four-Seven Reentry Program, individuals are connected with our Reentry Coordinators approximately 180 days before their release from prison. The coordinators provide focused guidance based on each person’s primary areas of need. With knowledge of community resources — including local employers and transitional housing options — our team helps participants prepare for a smoother transition and reduce the challenges often faced during reentry.

REENTRY PROGRAMMING

The Four-Seven Reentry team also provides and supports a variety of inside curriculum including two reentry simulations in the spring and fall each year. Residents returning home within three months confront, in a mock experience, the challenges and choices they will soon encounter ands aids in preparing NOW for a successful reentry. Our ministry's original curriculum Building Success, equips and empowers returning citizens to Create New Paths and Foundations rebuilt upon Accountability, Forgiveness, Hope as they delve into Preparing for Employment while Balancing Work and Life.

REACH OUT

When men and women come home they need positive and supportive community more than ever. In addition to community partner collaborations and Reentry coordinators we have a safe, non-judgemental Men's Support group, Breaking Chains that allows authenticity and sharing that promotes healing and builds trust. Breaking Chains meets twice a month on the first and third Wednesday at Crossroads Church and on Zoom.

We also realize reentry is a family journey from the time a loved one is separated; and that day...begins their journey HOME! So, we are here too to help families navigate the reentry with information, resources and collaboration with our family services.
Email reentry@thefourseven.org or call The Four-Seven Office directly at (513) 229-7947 for questions or assistance with Reentry Services

DAYTON CORRECTIONAL REENTRY SIMULATION

"When we fail to plan, we plan to fail..."

That's why we do Reentry Simulations, where In sixty to ninety minutes, we mimic the first month of release for ladies scheduled to go HOME within 3 months. Participants experience the struggles and challenges faced by individuals as they transition post release. During the simulation participants navigate obstacles such as getting IDs, reporting requirements, acquiring employment, housing, etc. By experiencing the simulation, volunteers also gain visibility into the resident's perspectives and discover innovative ways to help those we serve succeed. Our mission is that each participant leaves EMPOWERED and EQUIPPED to leave prison and never return!
