ACCESSIBILITY
BUILT FOR
EVERYONE.
We want every person, including people using screen readers, keyboards, magnification or slow connections, to be able to use this site. This statement says what we have done and how to tell us when something is in the way.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the site.
What is in place
- Every page’s content is real HTML that can be read without JavaScript, with a clear heading structure, a skip link, landmarks and descriptive link text.
- Everything can be reached and operated with a keyboard; focus is always visible.
- Photographs carry meaningful alternative text; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text and controls are designed to AA contrast on both the dark and light themes, and there is a theme switch in the header.
- Animation respects the “reduce motion” setting on your device.
- Forms have visible labels, clear error messages and no time limits.
- Pages are light and fast, with responsive images, so they work on older phones and slow connections.
Known limitations
Some videos carried over from our previous website do not yet have captions or transcripts. We are reviewing them and will add captions or replace them. Third-party forms we link to, such as donation and sign-up forms, are provided by other services and are outside our direct control.
